Job Summary:

The Annual Giving Manager oversees all aspects of the individual fund development program including: direct mail, online and electronic fundraising, and stewardship. Strengthen relationships with current donors below the major donor level, increase giving and expand the organization's donor base.

  • Work with the Director of Development and consultants to direct strategy, design and implementation of all solicitations to enhance and expand the number of donors and prospects through acquisition, renewal, sustainer and special appeal solicitations.
  • Manage a detailed schedule of activities and ensure the appropriate review of copy and mailing list selection.
  • Ensure that all reporting requirements related to contacts with fundraising firms and charitable registrations are met, as well as IRS regulations.
  • Manage the on-line giving program using Raiser’s Edge, QGiv and Mail Chimp.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to encourage new donors and research, evaluate and recommends upgrades to on-line giving technology.
  • *Work with Grants and Corp Giving Manager to implement Colorado Gives Day Campaign
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Development and the Director of Communications to grow the Happy Tails League monthly giving program
  • Gift Administration
  • Manage development staff who provide gift processing and gift recording for all donations to Society programs and campaigns and who prepare donor information for annual report, gift acknowledgment letters and receipts, including all cash and in-kind gifts.

  • Assist staff with the development of annual goals, timelines, measurables and provide on-going performance management and annual reviews.

  • Prepares and manages expense and revenue budgets to annual fund meet revenue targets and stay within expense budget.
  • Assist with special event preparation and execution.

Skills / Requirements

Education/Experience Necessary:

• Bachelors Degree preferred with a minimum of three years fundraising experience. Minimum of two years management experience.
• Two years demonstrated success managing an annual fund program.
• High proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of donor databases, preferably Raiser's Edge and Crystal Reports.
• Proficient with statistical reporting, producing management reports, and providing lists.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven organizational and planning skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage.
• Sound judgment and ability to exercise complete discretion when dealing with confidential information.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, train and motivate staff.
• Proven experience with the delivery of excellent customer service.
